Principal's Message - November 10th, 2017

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Veterans’ Day like so many holidays can be seen as just another holiday, that makes a long holiday weekend. It can also be a time to celebrate what is great about our country and the men and women, who volunteer in our armed forces. It is a nice opportunity to share with your children the sacrifices that these men and women make for our country. In a time where patriotism is the forefront of controversy, please take the time to speak to your children about the important role our veterans have played in the protection of this great land.

Following up on the Growth Mindset message I have been posting on Facebook, as well to our students. I have been reminding students, to not get stuck in the negative messages that hinder success. Try this at home:

Instead of................................Try thinking:
I’m not good at this.................What am I missing?
I'll give up...................................I’ll use a different strategy.
It’s good enough......................Is this really my best work?

Simple changes in what we say, can create changes in what we do.

Have a wonderful long weekend and take care,

Mr. Gregoire
